Military Assistance (MA) Course
The MA course is a 2-week course designed to provide students with training and education necessary to prepare personnel at SOTU/SOTG level for Military Assistance (MA) operations. MA is a broad category of measures and activities that support and influence critical friendly assets through organizing training, advising, mentoring/partnering, or the conduct of combined operations. The range of MA includes, but is not limited to, capability building of friendly security forces; engagement with local, regional, and national leadership or organizations; and civic actions supporting and influencing the local population. This course is ultimately designed to forge adaptive thinkers, flexible leaders, and dynamic problem solvers. Students completing this course will have an increased level of understanding and practical skill needed to enable success in dynamic military assistance environments. This course involves training in a field environment to replicate situations encountered in MA, or mentoring/partnering.
